First Sunday of every month. 6:30-10-30 pm.
Traditional music. Extraordinary fun.
1027 N Forest St, Bellingham, WA.
TangoLife Milonga began in May, 2010, as a way of bringing my tango-dancing friends from all over the Pacific Northwest into one grand celebration of happy embraces. The plan was to bring in the best regional traditional DJ’s to the most elegant venue, buy white tablecloths, get lots of wine and food, encourage cabeceo and good line of dance (literally with games and prizes in the beginning!), have a great sound system, and have all my Bellingham tango friends invite out of towners to come join us. Plus, I throw in a mixer tanda at half-time to welcome our visitors.
And there are themes, which are wonderful and silly and sometimes poignant, and bring us all together. And that’s the main reason I host this milonga. Lo and behold, it has all worked, and dancers of all levels drive over an hour repeatedly to our humble village to dance in the arms of friends, old and new. I hope you will join us, too!

Pre-Milonga lesson by Maureen and Carlos Urrego–5:30 pm
Majestic Ballroom, 1027 N Forest St, Bellingham, WA

Featuring DJ Carlos Urrego with tandas to put your troubles far behind you!
While some may be over the hill, TangoLife will be Over the Rainbow, wishing upon a star and making dreams come true! Recently several friends have asked if reverse role dancing is OK at TangoLife. My response is: OF COURSE! So a Rainbow theme it is! Come join us for an exquisite milonga, with DJ Carlos Urrego’s outstanding music. Sharpen up your cabeceo, polish up your respectful line of dance skills, and put on your most colorful attire. Then fly like a blue bird, or green, or yellow, orange, pink…
Maureen and Carlos Urrego teach a Pre-Milonga lesson from 5:30-6:30, with movements suitable for the social dance floor. We REALLY enjoyed their teaching and material in February at TangoLife. Since then, they have WON the ATUSA TANGO CHAMPIONSHIPS in April, and will represent the US at the world competition, the Mundial in Buenos Aires in August, 2018. Come enjoy their victory lap around the TangoLife pista, and learn a thing or two from….well…the best!
