TangoLife Classes Aug 11+

Dear TangoLovers,
The enclosed video is from Milonga Cachirulo in Seattle last Friday, which was the appetizer for my 3 nights of tango over the weekend.  A fun crowd, medium sized venue, and DJ Vincent Lama, who recently played tandas for TangoLife, was there from Vancouver.  In other words, the music was excellent!  Then Saturday night I danced at Milonga El Secreto, hosted by Patricio and Eva (who I studied with extensively in my early days).  Joining me were 7-8 dancers from Bellingham and Anacortes, many of them my students or alumni, and it was very rewarding to see them out on the floor, enveloped in the joy of tango!  For dessert on Sunday, I danced from first tanda till Cumparsita at La Garua Milonga.  Then I drove home and slept 9.5 hours!

One observation I had on the way home:  The more you dance and practice tango, the easier it gets.  Not a big aha-moment, but perhaps encouraging nonetheless.  Anyone up for some tango immersion sessions?  In BA it’s common to take daily courses for 3-5 days, 2-5 hours a day.  (Been there, done that.) Perhaps we should create a super study group over a weekend…  Let me know if you are interested.  Meanwhile, here’s the normal schedule of classes this week.
